IWIC is a cornerstone of the emerging innovation cluster on the Ipswich Waterfront. It is a place and community for entrepreneurs, innovators, young companies and tech professionals.

IWIC is delighted to sponsor dev://east as a landmark event in growing the digital sector in Ipswich.

IWIC provides hot-desks, meeting rooms and event space to support the formation and growth of innovative and scalable businesses that will raise the economic trajectory of Ipswich in the years to come. Flexible monthly packages for start-ups and full-time desk option also available for those firms that need a permanent base of operation until they are ready to expand into their own office space.

In addition to a contemporary co-working space, IWIC members have access to expertise and resources within the University of Suffolk including direct discussions with technical experts in the digital and ICT disciplines, specialist facilities and even student interns. Our space is also available for hire.

The additive manufacturing (AM) revolution offers huge savings in time and material costs to firms that design and make products. Businesses that adopt AM quickly will be at a competitive advantage over firms that are slow to change. Our 3D Productivity Suite is equipped with high resolution digital scanners, CAD design workstations, Virtual Reality (VR) optical systems and 3D Printers (FDM). We anticipate installation of industrial 3D printers able to produce components at extremely high resolution and in multiple colours and a wide range of polymers with different properties and colours. The 3D Suite forms an essential part of our design and prototyping capability and will help IWIC Members and businesses across the region to evaluate and adopt AM.

IWIC is also home to the Suffolk Centre for Female Entrepreneurship with a continuing programme aimed at encouraging and recognising entrepreneurial women. We also host regular tech network meetings including Suffolk Developers, SyncIpswich and others.

Follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook to learn about our events, seminars and networking sessions, newsletter and collaboration and funding opportunities.
